Company Auditions
We are excited that your child is interested in joining our competitive dance program. We want to provide you with important information about the upcoming Stokes Studios Dance Company Audition for the 26-27 season.
Audition Fee: $35 (covers the cost of the audition and evaluation)
SZN 2: Purely Elemental
We are looking for dancers that are ready to ground their movement, touch the sky, ignite their passion, and flow with grace as our dancers unleash the raw, essential energies of Earth, Wind, Fire, and Water that move us all!

What to Expect at Tryouts

Warm-Up: The tryouts will begin with a group warm-up to ensure all dancers are properly stretched and ready.

Choreography: Participants will learn two short combinations, taught on the spot, in the styles of Lyrical/Contemporary and Jazz Funk. After learning the combinations, dancers will perform them for assessment.

Technique: Dancers will travel across the floor demonstrating foundational technique and skills.

Skill Assessment: Dancers will be evaluated on their technique, coordination, flexibility, and performance ability.
What to Wear

Dancewear: ALL BLACK- leotard, tank top, shorts, leggings or athletic wear. (If tights are worn they can be skin tone)

Clothing should be form fitting so instructors can see the dancer's form and movements

Footwear: Please bring the appropriate dance shoes for the styles being performed (pirouette shoes or jazz shoes)

Hair: Hair should be tied back and out of the face
